SUV Strikes, Kills 59-Year-Old on McDowell Road

blue and red police lights on top of carPHOENIX, AZ – A man died Tuesday night when his pickup truck was struck by another vehicle while stopped near Papago Park.

According to a report by the Arizona Republic, the man was standing outside of his silver pickup truck at 64th Street and McDowell Road when it was struck by an oncoming SUV.

The man died at the scene. He was later identified as 59-year-old Gerardo Vasquez.

It is unclear if any charges will be filed in connection to the crash.
