GLENDALE, AZ – A 29-year-old man was taken to the hospital after a wrong-way collision on Loop 101 early Wednesday morning.
According to AZ Family, police received reports just after midnight that a sedan was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of Loop 101 near Bethany Home Road. Moments later, the sedan collided with a coupe traveling in the correct direction near Camelback Road.
The individual in the coupe was not injured in the crash.
The driver of the sedan was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Officials believe impairment may have played a role in the collision.
