Phillips Law Group Volunteers at Maggie’s Place Easter Event
Spread the love
Phillips Law Group is committed to getting out of the office and getting involved in the community and recently began a new partnership with Maggie’s Place for volunteer opportunities. On April 1st, several staff members got to help out at a Maggie’s Place Easter event, making the Easter Bunny’s job a little bit easier for the hundreds of kids and parents who showed up to celebrate.
Maggie’s Place works hard to welcome “pregnant and parenting women and their children into a safe and loving community, providing life-changing programs and ongoing services to help them to become self-sufficient.”
A number of people from the Phillips Law Group team volunteered at the event for this amazing organization and hid 1,000 Easter eggs for the lucky kids in attendance to find. Volunteers also helped moms and kids make Easter crafts, assisting them with egg weaving, cookie decorations, sign painting, and more.
Families that had been previously helped by the organization came back to join in the fun as well, and Maggie’s Place provided brunch for the attendees and volunteers alike. The families are invited back every year, even after they no longer need the services that Maggie’s Place provides.
Every child at the event got their own Easter basket, and Phillips Law Group volunteers enjoyed helping out all the kids and families in attendance.
This was just one of the Maggie’s Place events Phillips staff plans to volunteer for in 2023. Volunteers from the firm will be working with this outstanding organization twice a month for the rest of the year – plus, the firm has set an ambitious goal of donating 500 diapers every month to Maggie’s Place as part of a diaper drive, and more than 600 were donated in March alone!
Phillips Law Group is proud to work with Maggie’s Place on events like this one, as well as on all of the firm’s community service work. If you’d like to get involved in some of our volunteer work or to learn more about our outreach in the community, please contact us to learn more.
