Vehicle Fire Causes Delays Friday Morning in Phoenix

PHOENIX, AZ – Police and firefighters in west Phoenix responded to the scene of a pickup truck fire on Loop 101 early Friday morning.

According to a tweet by Arizona DoT, the white pickup truck caught fire at about 7:42 a.m. within the northbound lanes of the freeway near the Indian School Road exit.

It is unclear what sparked the fire or if any injuries were sustained as a result.

Police closed the far-right lane while fire crews extinguished the blaze. All lanes were reopened by 8:30 a.m.
