If you enjoy a splash of creamer in your morning cup of coffee, you may have heard about the recent International Delight coffee creamer recall. Danone North America, the parent company of International Delight, has voluntarily recalled more than 75,000 bottles of its popular coffee creamer. So, should consumers throw out those bottles in the fridge?
International Delight Coffee Creamer Recall Details

Danone voluntarily recalled the creamers on February 21, 2025. However, it wasn’t until March 12, 2025, that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) officially classified it as a Class II recall “due to potential microbial contamination, Forbes reported.
“The firm received complaints of spoilage and illness with the use of the products,” an FDA notice online revealed.
The recall affects certain 32-fluid-ounce bottles of International Delight Cinnabon Classic Cinnamon Roll Coffee Creamer and Hazelnut Coffee Creamer distributed by Danone US, LLC, according to ABC News. 46,482 bottles of Cinnabon creamer and 28,572 bottles of Hazelnut creamer are impacted in total.
Specifically, the Cinnabon creamer bottles have a UPC 0 41271 01993 3 and a “best by” date of July 3, 2025. Meanwhile, the Hazelnut creamer bottles have a UPC 0 41271 02565 2 and a “best by” date of July 2, 2025.
The Class II recall designation means the recalled creamers “may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences,” Forbes noted.
Where Was the Recalled Coffee Creamer Sold?
The recalled creamers were distributed to 31 states, including Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
As of March 18, Danone hasn’t publicly communicated the number of consumers who may have been sickened by these recalled International Delight coffee creamers products.
Products Did Not Meet “Quality Standards”

A representative for International Delight told ABC News in a statement by email that the company “is aware of a texture issue that some consumers have experienced with two of our creamers. We take every concern to heart, because this is not the quality we strive for.”
“A limited number of these products did not meet our quality standards, due to premature spoilage manifesting as a texture issue,” the statement continued.
“While we know this is disappointing for our creamer fans, testing data has confirmed that this is not a food safety issue. We chose to voluntarily recall these isolated products out of an abundance of caution while we address the quality issue.”
How to Handle Recalled International Delight Coffee Creamer Products
People who bought or possess these recalled products should not consume the affected coffee creamer. You should check the expiration date and UPC code on the bottom of the creamer bottles to see if the product you may have in your fridge has been affected. If it is, you should throw it away or return it to the retailer where you purchased it for a refund.
