Motorcyclist Rescued After Crash Over Small Cliff

TUCSON, AZ – Emergency crews were forced to shut down a road through Gates Pass after rescuing an injured motorcyclist early Monday morning.

According to KOLD, the incident happened just after midnight and within the 5700 block of West Case Pass Road.

Officials with the Pima County Sheriff’s office say the motorcyclist failed to properly negotiate a turn which sent him off the roadway and over a small cliff.

Firefighters were able to extricate the driver from the wreck and transported him to a local hospital with injuries that are not expected to be life-threatening.
