SCOTTSDALE, AZ. – An 18-year-old man was killed in a vehicle-pedestrian accident in Scottsdale.
The Daily Independent reports that the man was skateboarding west on Shea Boulevard when he was struck and killed by a vehicle heading the same direction. First responders arrived at the scene at Shea Boulevard and 128th Street shortly after midnight.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The motorist remained and cooperated with authorities. Speed and impairment are not suspected at this time, according to a Scottsdale police spokesperson, but the accident remains under investigation.
