Crash on East Valencia Road in Tucson Leaves One Dead

TUCSON, AZ – A woman suffered fatal injuries when her vehicle slammed into a guardrail in southeast Tucson early Tuesday morning, KOLD News 13 reports.

Witnesses told police the driver of a 2001 Ford Explorer was driving erratically in the westbound lanes of East Valencia Road near Kolb Road when her vehicle crashed into the guardrail and overturned at about 7:30 a.m.

The driver, 33-year-old Patricia Laborin, was ejected in the crash. Emergency responders pronounced her dead at the scene.

That portion of East Valencia Rd. was shut down for several hours as a result of the collision.
