Pedestrian Killed by Car While Crossing Street

PHOENIX, AZ – A woman was killed after being struck by a car west of downtown Phoenix Friday night.

According to Fox 10 Phoenix, the accident was reported at about 8:00 p.m. near the intersection of 32nd Avenue and West Van Buren Street.

Police say a 58-year-old woman was rushed to a local hospital, where she later died. Her name has not been released at this time.

Officials do not believe the driver was intoxicated at the time of the collision.

An investigation into the incident remains underway.
