Southbound I-17 Lanes Blocked by Crash in Phoenix

PHOENIX, AZ – Commuters in north Phoenix faced delays this morning as the result of a rush-hour collision on southbound I-17.

According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, the incident took place at about 8:40 a.m. within the southbound lanes of I-17 near the Bethany Homes neighborhood.

The cause of the crash is unclear. However, the right two lanes have been blocked while the wreckage is being cleared from the roadway.

No injuries have been reported at this time.
