PHOENIX, AZ – A man was killed following a multi-vehicle hit-and-run collision in west Phoenix early Saturday morning, CBS 5 reports.
A Ford Explorer and a Cadillac sedan collided within the intersection of 71st Avenue and Catalina Drive, just north of Thomas Road, at about 2 a.m. that morning.
All occupants in the Ford fled the scene of the crash on foot before police arrived. The driver in the Cadillac, 33-year-old Xavier Cantu, was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries a short time later.
The female passenger in Cantu’s vehicle was unhurt.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
