Georgia Sexual Abuse Lawyers

Sexual abuse is a devastating violation that leaves survivors with deep emotional, physical, and psychological scars. If you or a loved one has suffered this type of abuse, whether through assault, institutional negligence, or exploitation, you deserve justice, accountability, and compassionate legal support. At Phillips Law Group, our Georgia sexual abuse lawyers are dedicated to holding perpetrators and enablers accountable while fighting for maximum compensation to help survivors rebuild their lives.

Why Survivors Work with Georgia Sexual Abuse Attorneys

Sexual abuse cases are complex, often involving everything from institutional cover-ups (including schools, churches, workplaces), delayed reporting due to fear or manipulation, varying laws depending on location, complicated relationships, and more.

Trauma-informed legal strategies to protect survivors’ rights are important when pursuing a Georgia sex abuse claim. Our firm believes that combining assertive legal advocacy with compassion and experience is the key to seeking justice in these lawsuits.

There are far too many recent cases of sexual abuse in Georgia that have made the news, a number of which have gone on to involve lawsuits. For instance, a federal lawsuit filed by 11-year-old “Jane Doe” in April 2025 involved a 13-year-old classmate who “sent her sexually explicit messages in January 2023 that included a potential threat of sexual assault,” according to local outlet WMAZ-TV.

“The lawsuit says Principal Stephen Boyd told the parents that ‘We will take care of it’ and ‘We will find a way. Promise,’” the outlet noted. “But although school officials assured her parents that they’d separate Jane Doe from the other student –  including putting them in separate classes – the lawsuit says that never happened.”

Just months later, in April 2023, the boy sexually assaulted the pre-teen girl. Although the assault was reported to a teacher, the family of Jane Doe sued the school district for not preventing the girl’s sexual assault. They also alleged the district failed to report the assault to the Division of Family and Children Services, which is required under mandatory reporting laws.

It’s that sort of situation that the expertise and authority of a Georgia sexual assault lawyer may be very valuable to a survivor or their loved ones.
