Doctor Paduch Sexual Abuse Lawsuit

Dr. Darius Paduch was arrested in April 2023 and criminally convicted in May on several counts of sexual abuse in federal court. He was sentenced to life in prison for his repeated sexual abuse of his patients in November 2024. However, there may still be former patients of Dr. Paduch who have not seen justice for the harm done to them. Dr. Paduch Sex Abuse: What Happened?

Dr. Paduch, a former urologist affiliated with prestigious New York institutions such as Weill Cornell Medical Center and New York-Presbyterian Hospital, was convicted of sexually abusing numerous male patients, including minors, over nearly two decades.

“Darius Paduch exploited more male patients than any predator in history,” plaintiff lawyer Anthony T. DiPietro told The New York Post.

“Patients trust these so-called ‘top hospitals’ to provide safe and proper medical care for deeply personal conditions. Patients don’t go into a medical office thinking they are going to be exploited by some deviant criminal in a white lab coat,” DiPietro said.

Dr. Paduch was accused of crimes including engaging in fraudulent medical practices, performing unnecessary surgical procedures on patients, violating acceptable medical standards, and exploiting men and boys under the impression that he was giving them medical care. Some of his alleged misconduct included performing unnecessary procedures without anesthesia, administering injections to induce prolonged erections, and engaging in inappropriate physical contact.

Former patients of the doctor may be able to pursue legal action against Weill Cornell, New York Presbyterian Hospital, Northwell Health, or any other medical facilities where Dr. Paduch may have worked, due to potential evidence that these facilities may have known about his misconduct and failed to protect patients from his predatory behavior.
