GILA BEND, AZ – Investigators with the Arizona Department of Public Safety are looking into the cause of a semi vs. minivan collision that killed three people last Friday, CBS 5 reports.
The crash happened along State Route 85 a few miles south of Gila Bend shortly before 9:00 a.m., when a minivan collided head-on with a semi-truck. One of the vehicles involved in the collision burst into flames.
All three occupants in the minivan were pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the truck was able to escape with only minor injuries.
An investigation into the official cause of the crash is still ongoing.
