Driver Faces Multiple Charges for Fleeing Tucson Crash

TUCSON, AZ – A driver is facing a number of charges after fleeing the scene of a Friday night collision that left a motorcyclist critically injured.

According to KGUN9, the accident occurred near the intersection of East Golf Links Road and South Hearthstone drive at about 8:00 p.m.

Witnesses say the driver made an unsafe left turn in front of the motorcyclist, collided with them in the intersection, and then fled the scene. One witness followed the driver for several blocks before losing them. However, police employed K9 units and air support and soon found the suspect.

The driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI and fleeing the scene of an injury collision, among other charges.

The motorcyclist was rushed to the hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries. No updates regarding their condition have been made available at this time.
