Volunteers at Feeding Arizona in February 2023

As a law firm, the team at Phillips Law Group is proud to serve its many clients and secure justice for those who have been harmed by the negligence of others. But we are also proud to serve the community at large as well. Phillips Law Group gives back to the community in many ways all year long.

We believe it is important to volunteer with the communities we serve, and Phillips Law Group often has several monthly community events planned at any given time. In recent months, volunteers from our team have given their time and effort to causes like Arizona Helping Hands, the Christmas Angels program, and Women4Women Tempe

We also team up with organizations like the Arizona Animal Welfare League to help adoptable pets find their forever homes and My Hope Bag to support breast cancer patients in our community.

One program that is very special to the Phillips staff is Feeding Arizona. Organized by our very own team, Feeding Arizona events involve bringing goods and services to the homeless in the Phoenix, Arizona area – with the notable exception of one event that expanded the outreach to Utah!

Volunteers from Phillips Law Group give out food to the homeless population at Feeding Arizona events.

At these events, volunteers from Phillips Law Group and anyone else who wants to be involved give out food, hygienic products, clothes like socks, hats, and shirts, and more. At many Feeding Arizona volunteer opportunities, those serving the homeless also offer them haircuts, manicures, and facials.

Feeding Arizona is all about extending a hand in kindness to our homeless neighbors. Sadly, the number of unhoused individuals in the Phoenix, Arizona area has exploded in the past few years. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s 2022 Point-in-Time Estimates of Homelessness Report released in December 2022 found that Arizona has seen an alarming 23 percent jump in its homeless population since 2020, according to AZ Central/The Arizona Republic.

That means the mission of helping our neighbors who are unhoused is more important than ever before. Along with all of our other community service efforts, at Phillips Law Group, we hope to only increase and improve our Feeding Arizona events in 2023 and beyond.

More volunteers are always needed and welcome at these events and at other volunteer opportunities Phillips has to offer. Please check back here or follow the Phillips Law Group social media accounts to hear about our other events; the impact you could make by lending a hand might truly make all the difference for someone in need.
