Volunteers at September’s Feeding Arizona event in Utah
In addition to all of the legal work that Phillips Law Group does, the team also proudly participates in many community outreach events. One that is known to make a big difference in the Phoenix, Arizona community is Feeding Arizona – and now, the program has expanded to Utah as well.
The Phillips team organizes Feeding Arizona events, and it involves bringing goods and services directly to the homeless. Feeding Arizona was founded by Olga Phillips in 2021 with the mission of helping the homeless in the Phoenix area through events in which volunteers provide food, hygiene products, beauty and wellness services, and more to unhoused individuals, with the hope of extending a hand in kindness to our homeless neighbors.
In September, this amazing and important program expanded to Arizona’s neighboring state of Utah, and it was a great success! Members of the Phillips team and other volunteers provided similar services to the homeless population there, working hard to try to make just as much of a difference there as they try to in the Phoenix community.
Luis Velez of the Phillips team wrote of the occasion, “We were able to break through some barriers mentally and emotionally by providing hair washes, haircuts, facials, manicures, and much more,” adding, “Whether it was for a moment, days, weeks, or forever, we were able to make a positive impact on the homeless population there.”
Velez added that the individuals who were aided by the Phillips team and other volunteers “were so very grateful for all that we provided to them. We as volunteers were also impacted by serving amazing people in need.”
Phillips Law Group arranges Feeding Arizona events fairly often, and always welcomes volunteers to help out. Contact the firm or check out our social media accounts to be the first to hear about our next event – we would love to see you there.
