Motorcycle Crash Causes One Death, Two Injuries

TUCSON, AZ – An investigation is underway into the official cause of a fatal collision involving a motorcycle in Tucson Saturday night.

According to KOLD, 23-year-old Jonathan Martinez was struck by an SUV while traveling eastbound on West Wetmore Road at around 9:45 p.m. Police say the accident happened when an SUV made a left turn from North Flowing Wells Road and hit Martinez in the intersection.

Paramedics pronounced Martinez dead at the scene of the crash. A 19-year-old passenger in the SUV was rushed to the hospital in serious condition while its 18-year-old female driver was also transported with minor injuries.

No charges have been filed in this case, as the investigation is still ongoing.
