Motorcyclist Killed in Collision With SUV in North Tucson

TUCSON, AZ – A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with an SUV in north Tucson Monday.

According to KOLD News 13, the crash occurred on East River Road near the Campbell Avenue intersection.

Police say Daniel Negrete Avila, 21, was killed after an SUV pulled out of a private driveway without yielding, causing the motorcyclist to hit the side of the vehicle.

Avila was rushed to the hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The driver of the SUV has been cooperative with police as the investigation remains ongoing.
