No Injuries Reported in Cement Mixer Crash on I-10

PHOENIX, AZ – Officials with the Arizona Department of Transportation were forced to shut down a portion of Loop 202 following a Monday afternoon crash involving a cement mixer.

According to KTAR, the incident occurred at about noon in the westbound lanes of the South Mountain Freeway, just west of I-10.

Officials at the scene say the cement mixer could be seen flipped on its side against a median barrier.

No injuries have been reported. However, all traffic was rerouted to I-10 for almost five hours following the crash.
