SOMERTON, AZ – A major collision just southeast of Somerton sent four people to the hospital on Tuesday afternoon, KYMA reports.
The three-vehicle crash occurred shortly before 2:45 p.m. in the area of Avenue B and County 18th Street.
The events leading up to the crash are unclear at this time. However, first responders say a BMW, a Chevrolet Silverado, and a gray sedan were all involved.
The driver of the Chevrolet needed to be extricated from that wreck using the Jaws of Life. Once the individual was safely out of the vehicle, they were transported to Yuma Regional Medical Center.
Two occupants in the sedan and the driver of the BMW were also hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
