PRESCOTT, AZ – Officers with the Prescott Police Department responded to a pedestrian accident last Thursday that sent an elderly woman to the hospital.
According to Prescott News, the 75-year-old woman was struck by a Toyota Corolla at about 12:12 p.m., while she was in the crosswalk at Sheldon Street and Pleasant Street.
The unidentified woman suffered a serious head injury and was transported to a nearby hospital before being airlifted to another hospital for further treatment. Her condition remains unclear.
The driver, a 78-year-old man, was uninjured. Police issued him a civil traffic citation. They do not believe impairment played a role in the crash.
