PHOENIX, AZ – Police were forced to shut down all lanes along Loop 202 following a rush-hour collision early Thursday morning.
According to a tweet by Arizona DOT, the multi-vehicle crash took place shortly before 7:50 a.m. within the westbound HOV lane near the exit to 32nd Street.
The cause of the crash is unclear at this time. However, photos from the scene depict multiple vehicles blocking the travel lanes.
Police closed all westbound lanes while emergency crews worked to clear debris from the roadway and exit ramp. Motorists have been advised to seek an alternate route, as delays are likely throughout Thursday morning’s rush-hour.
