More specifically, the claim alleges that a predator used Roblox to groom the 10-year-old girl in question and “coerced her into sending explicit images in exchange for Robux, the platform’s virtual currency,” WCNC revealed.
Shockingly, these alleged incidents did not occur in some shadowy corner of the internet, but within the very games and chat functions that children use every day.
Children May be Vulnerable on Online Gaming Platforms
The truth is, it may be surprisingly easy for predators to use an in-game chat and private messaging to communicate inappropriately with minors on Roblox and other online spaces. In this particular lawsuit, it is alleged that Roblox did not verify user ages, screen users, or enforce important parental controls.
