One Man Killed After Apartment Fire in Central Phoenix

PHOENIX, AZ – A man was killed and a woman was injured in a fire that broke out at an apartment building in Central Phoenix Tuesday evening.

The fire erupted at a two-story apartment complex near the intersection of 18th Street and Camelback Road at about 7 p.m., according to AZ Family.

Firefighters say a man sustained significant burns to his abdomen and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. He has since died of his injuries.

A woman in the apartment was also hospitalized in stable condition with burns to her hands. She is currently in stable condition.

No other injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
