Police in Tucson Stop Wrong-Way Driver Traveling on I-10

TUCSON, AZ ”“ Police with two different agencies were able to stop a wrong-way driver on eastbound I-10 Thursday evening before he caused a serious accident, KGUN 9 reports.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety received reports of a westbound car in the eastbound lanes of I-10 near milepost 236 at approximately 10:30 p.m. Troopers were dispatched to milepost 248, where they assisted Marana police in safely stopping the vehicle and apprehending its driver.

The 39-year-old motorist has been charged with aggravated DUI, unlawful flight from law enforcement, and felony endangerment. No injuries were reported, although two police vehicles were damaged in the operation.
