YOU NEED A PHILLIPS!

For over 30 years, Phillips Law Group has been dedicated to helping individuals overcome setbacks and pursue justice, both in and out of the courtroom. Our Resilient Recovery Scholarship continues that mission by supporting students who demonstrate strength and perseverance. We’re honored to introduce our scholarship winners below.

2025 Winner: Annie Anderson

Bio: My name is Annie. I was born and raised in Arizona and am now a junior at Arizona State University. I’m one of the youngest juniors you’ll ever find, since I completed five semesters’ worth of college credit before University. I am studying User Experience with a minor in Business. I love these studies because I am driven by a passion for understanding people and turning that insight into products and systems that genuinely improve their everyday lives.

Outside the classroom, I stay involved in community service and challenge myself through rock climbing. These pursuits demand perseverance, but sharpen my problem-solving and allow for such meaningful connections. I am excited to keep exploring new possibilities, and encourage any students reading this to do the same! Keep going!

Reaction Statement: Winning the Resilient Recovery Scholarship felt surreal. After juggling two jobs and considering a third, this support arrived as a huge relief and a timely answer to a prayer. I am deeply grateful to Phillips Law Group for investing in students like me and encouraging us to keep going.

2024 Winner: Ju-Woo Nho

Bio: Ju-Woo Nho is a senior at Brown University, majoring in Applied Mathematics and Biology. As part of Brown’s BS/MD Program in Liberal Medical Education, she is set to matriculate directly into the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University after graduation. Originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Ju-Woo discovered her passion for advancing patient health early in life. Her commitment to improving the well-being of communities has driven her academic and professional journey.

Reaction Statement: “Being awarded this scholarship is a tremendous honor and a transformative opportunity that will help me fund my medical education and achieve my dreams. It is a testament to my past and a reminder that we can become something bigger than ourselves. I am deeply grateful to the scholarship committee for their support and am inspired to become a catalyst for positive change in the future.”
