Phillips Law Group has a strong commitment to community service and the summer of 2023 has been all about building new partnerships with community organizations in Arizona. One of the newest opportunities to collaborate came about recently when the firm was able to gift a few NFL game tickets to individuals served by Catholic Charities – MANA House. Phillips Law Group donated Cardinals tickets to veterans who got to enjoy the game on September 17th.

Cardinals Ticket Donation from Phillips Law Group

The Community Engagement Coordinator at Catholic Charities – MANA House and three veterans got the chance to attend an Arizona Cardinals game together in mid-September thanks to a ticket donation from Phillips Law Group. The firm is a proud sponsor of the Arizona Cardinals and regularly hosts events to celebrate that collaboration, but getting this opportunity to give back to the community – particularly to veterans in our community – thanks to that partnership was especially meaningful.

Catholic Charities – MANA House Community Engagement Coordinator Rachel Masch later expressed that the group was seated in the Club section of the stadium and was “treated like VIP” during their visit, noting that the veterans really enjoyed the outing. Veterans have done so much for our country, and while we can never fully repay them for that service, Phillips Law Group was honored to give back to them in this small way to show our gratitude.

More About Our Community Partnerships

Catholic Charities – MANA House is one of the organizations Phillips Law Group plans to start working with more regularly. MANA (Marines, Army, Navy, Airforce) House provides transitional housing and “is a peer-run organization of homeless and formerly homeless veterans offering personal, individualized basic resources, community, and advocacy for all veterans.”

MANA House began when fourteen veterans worked together to manage their own space in the Mens Outreach Shelter (MOS) on Madison Street in downtown Phoenix back in 2008. Today, residents live in Catholic Charities – MANA House in a new, expanded facility with space for up to 76 veterans.

If you would like to learn about volunteering with MANA House, please feel free to check out the organization’s website. They also need donations, as many of our community partners often do.

In fact, our firm frequently helps causes like Arizona Helping Hands, Women4Women Tempe, the Arizona Animal Welfare League, My Hope Bag, A New Leaf, and more. Phillips Law Group staff members take part in volunteer opportunities often, and we would be happy to help you find a community service opportunity that you can assist with, too.

Please contact our offices if you’d like to learn more about our community outreach efforts. And make sure to regularly check out our blog and follow the Phillips Law Group social media accounts to hear about other events where we could use another pair of helping hands!
