Rollover Collision in Nogales Leaves Driver Injured

NOGALES, AZ – A woman was sent to the hospital after her vehicle rolled over in a parking lot near the U.S.-Mexico border Thursday morning.

According to Nogales International, the incident occurred in a Border Protection parking lot near Sonoita Avenue, across from a Burger King restaurant.

Witnesses say the driver lost control of her vehicle when she came to the 90-degree turn from I-19 to Sonoita Avenue. The vehicle skidded off the roadway and into the parking lot before coming to rest on its side.

Firefighters extricated the unidentified woman from her vehicle. She could be seen standing on her own at the scene. However, she was transported to Holy Cross Hospital and subsequently flown to University Medical Center in Tucson. No other individuals were involved in the crash.
