Volunteers from Phillips Law Group regularly go out in the community and lend a hand, both with long-standing partnerships and new outreach opportunities. Our March 2025 community service events were no different, and we will have lots of chances to help out in the community in the months to come, too, for anyone who would like to get involved.

March 3 – Feeding Arizona/Cloud Covered Streets

On March 3rd, a group of volunteers helped out at one of our Feeding Arizona events, which we usually partner with Cloud Covered Streets to host in the community.

Cloud Covered Streets is a 501c3 nonprofit that believes “everyone deserves dignity, respect, and the opportunity to be seen and heard,” and specifically works to assist the homeless population. The organization is able to bring a mobile unit right to the unhoused population in the Phoenix community, which it uses to provide showers, laundry services, haircuts, clothing, supplies, and other services.

At this event in early March, Phillips Law Group volunteers brought 40 sandwiches, three jugs of coffee, and two gallons of orange juice for the homeless population in our community to enjoy.

We were also able to get the help of our regular stylist volunteer, Angela, to cut hair for anyone who wanted the service. In total, 19 haircuts were completed.

March 6 – Foster Alliance

On March 6, Phillips Law Group volunteers made their way to The Foster Alliance to partake in a volunteer activity we do fairly often: making birthday cards for the kids the organization serves.

The Foster Alliance, formerly known as Arizona Helping Hands, is a non-profit that provides essential needs for children in foster care. The Foster Alliance is able to do this through many different endeavors including back-to-school drives, personalized birthday packages, and more, and our volunteers regularly get the opportunity to make these birthday cards for kids to get their own birthday goodies from the organization.

At this event, a former employee came to help for the first time, and was of course welcomed with open arms! The volunteers made a number of personalized cards that a few lucky and deserving Foster Alliance kids will get to cherish.

Phillips Law Group also hosted a blood drive with the help of Vitalant in March, and we have quite a few volunteer opportunities coming up in April, May, and beyond! If you’d like to get involved, just contact us to get in touch with our community service team today.
