- Man Killed in Arizona Motorcycle Accident Allegedly Caused by Racing Motorists | Legal News | News Ticker
Racing is something that goes on all over Arizona and the United States, and many people mistakenly think that engaging in this conduct in rural areas all but eliminates the dangers associated with it. Unfortunately for many innocent motorists who are in the wrong place at the wrong time, this belief has been proven wrong too many times. While nothing has definitively been proven at this point, police suspect that two people racing on a highway caused an Arizona motorcycle accident that led to the death of one person.
According to the authorities, this fatal Arizona motorcycle accident occurred on Wednesday morning just after 11 a.m. on Highway 89A on Mingus Mountain, near milepost 334. Three motorcyclists were headed in one direction on the road when they encountered a Toyota sedan and another motorcycle racing in the opposite direction. The motorcyclists attempted to avoid a collision, but they could not do so and a crash ensued. 75-year-old William H. Pritchett of Dillon, Colorado was killed in the crash and another rider was seriously injured and flown to a nearby hospital. Police are continuing to investigate the situation.
