Woman Run Over by Own Car After Crash in Phoenix

ambulance racing to scene of emergencyPHOENIX, AZ – A woman suffered injuries last week when she was forced to jump out of her own vehicle as it spun out of control at an intersection in central Phoenix.

According to Fox 10 Phoenix, the incident occurred on Wednesday, August 4th at the intersection of 7th Avenue and Glendale Avenue.

20-year-old Izabella Weathersbee says she lost control of her Toyota 4-Runner when it was struck by another vehicle as she was making the left turn. She told police the fender dug into a front tire, causing the vehicle to spin around.

Weathersbee was able to jump out of the SUV while it was still spinning. However, she believes she felt it run over her while she was on the ground. She suffered non-life-threatening injuries to her legs, back, and knees.

It is unclear whether the other driver was injured.
