CHANDLER, AZ – All westbound lanes of I-10 were shut down Sunday night following a collision involving a semi-truck and a milk-tanker.
According to ABC 15, the incident took place at about 9 p.m. as the semi was pulling back onto the interstate after being stopped along the shoulder near Chandler Boulevard.
The milk tanker collided with the rear of the semi, causing the semi to catch fire and the milk-tanker to overturn in the roadway.
The driver of the semi sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the crash. The milk tanker’s driver was unhurt.
The identities of the drivers have not yet been released to the public.
All westbound lanes were shut down for several hours after the crash. The lanes reopened to limited traffic at approximately 6:30 a.m. on Monday morning.
