One Dead After Wall Collapse at Engineering Firm

TUCSON, AZ ”“ A wall collapsed at a Tucson engineering firm Tuesday morning, killing one worker and seriously injuring another, according to Tucson.com.

The incident occurred at Iota Engineering at 1641 W. Commerce Court. The Tucson Fire Department found a dead male victim and another male victim with severe injuries. A technical rescue team aided in the department’s response.

The injured man was transported to a nearby hospital; his identity has not been released.

The Arizona Division of Occupational Safety and Health (ADOSH) will conduct a further investigation of the incident to determine if workplace safety standards were violated.
