PEORIA, AZ – Two people were taken to the hospital after a suspected drunk driver crashed into a Peoria police cruiser on Tuesday morning.

According to Fox 10 Phoenix, a motorist crashed his pickup truck head-on into the officer’s SUV at the intersection of 83rd Avenue and Sweetwater Avenue.

Both the driver and the officer were transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation. Police say the driver of the pickup may have been impaired at the time of the crash.
