Two Men Killed After Boat Crash in Lake Havasu City

LAKE HAVASU CITY, AZ – Two men are dead and a third is injured following a two-boat accident that took place near the mouth of the Colorado River Friday evening.

The Los Angeles Daily News reports that first responders from both California and Arizona arrived at the scene, which is on the border between the two states. They pulled two badly injured men from the water and pronounced them dead at the scene. Officials from the Mojave County Sheriff’s office identified them as Jim Lee Dolson, 51, and Shawn Corey Fasulkey, 40, both residents of Los Angeles County.

A third man has been hospitalized in Nevada. Authorities have not released his name, but have confirmed that he is a 51-year-old resident of Arleta, CA.

Investigators with the Sheriff’s office say that the three men had been aboard a 21-foot boat that collided with a 42-foot boat as they were both headed south on the river. The operator of the larger vessel was found not to have been intoxicated at the time. Toxicology reports on the three California men have been ordered.
