Two Cops Pull Injured Driver From Rollover Crash

cop car lights PHOENIX, AZ – Two police officers were injured in north Phoenix yesterday while freeing a motorist from his overturned vehicle.

According to a report by Fox 10, the driver lost control of his vehicle while heading east on Thunderbird Road near 35th Avenue. The car collided with a utility pole before landing on its roof.

The vehicle then caught fire with the driver pinned inside. Two police officers were able to pull the unidentified man through the window of his car.

The driver was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Both officers were also hospitalized with minor cuts.

Power was knocked out to hundreds of residents in the area as a result of the downed utility pole.
