Woman Hit, Killed While Crossing Road in Phoenix

PHOENIX, AZ – Police in south Phoenix reported a single fatality resulting from an auto vs. pedestrian accident in the Broadway Gardens neighborhood Friday morning.

According to Fox 10 Phoenix, an unidentified woman was struck by an eastbound vehicle while attempting to cross in the area of Broadway Road and 6th Avenue.

Responding officers discovered the woman in the roadway with life-threatening injuries. She was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment but succumbed to her injuries.

The driver involved in the crash remained at the scene and cooperated with the police. Impairment is not believed to have been a factor in the collision at this time.
