PEORIA, AZ – Officers with the Peoria Police Department were called to the scene of a fatal pedestrian accident near Loop 101 on Wednesday night.
According to ABC 15, the unidentified pedestrian was struck at about 11 p.m. while crossing in the area of N 91st Avenue and W Olive Avenue.
Investigators say the victim was walking outside of the designated crosswalk when the individual was hit. The driver remained at the scene until police arrived.
It is unclear if any charges will be filed against the driver involved at this time.
