Pedestrian Killed While Running on I-10 Last Friday

police line during daytimePHOENIX, AZ – A pedestrian was struck and killed when he ran into the westbound lanes of I-10 last Friday morning, KTAR reports.

Witnesses told police the man, who was wearing a reflective vest, purposely ran into the freeway near 40th Street at about 8:15 a.m. and was hit by a FedEx truck.

Major delays were reported for nearly two hours after the fatal crash while investigators worked at the scene.

The victim’s identity is being withheld pending further investigation.
