West Phoenix Pedestrian Crash Kills 35-Year-Old

emergency sign at nightPHOENIX, AZ – A man was killed after being struck by a vehicle in west Phoenix on Saturday night, ABC 15 reports.

Police say an SUV struck 35-year-old Julian Jimenez-Valle at about 8:20 p.m. within the intersection of 35th Avenue and Thomas Road.

Jimenez-Valle was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries a short time later. The driver of the SUV remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

Witnesses told police the victim may have been crossing against the signal when he was hit.
