Man Killed After Truck Crashes into House in Mesa

MESA, AZ – A man is dead after a semi-truck careened into a house in Mesa while 10 people were inside on New Year’s Eve.

According to 12 News, the accident occurred on Crimson Road near U.S. Route 60 at about 7 p.m. The semi-truck ran a stop sign and crashed into the house.Authorities believe the truck’s driver may have experienced a medical episode prior to the incident.

A 50-year-old man inside the home died from injuries sustained in the crash.

The driver of the semi was taken to a local hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

No charges have been filed against the driver involved at this time, but police say they are awaiting blood results and are not currently ruling out impairment.
