One Man Killed in Glendale Area by Hit-and-Run Driver

GLENDALE, AZ – One man was killed and another was injured when they were struck by a pickup truck as they removed traffic barricades on a street in Glendale early Saturday morning, CBS 5 reports.

The men were struck at about 3:30 a.m. on Glendale Avenue near the intersection with 71st Avenue.

Both victims were rushed to the hospital, where 37-year-old Gustav Danielson succumbed to his injuries a short time later. The other man involved survived the wreck but remains in critical condition.

Police had yet to make an arrest in connection to the fatal crash as of Monday. Video from the scene shows a 2013-2017 Dodge Ram pickup truck fleeing the scene seconds after the incident.
