Pedestrian Struck, Seriously Injured by Hit-and-Run Driver in NW Phoenix

PHOENIX, AZ ”“ A man was struck and seriously injured by a hit-and-run driver as he was crossing a street in northwest Phoenix yesterday afternoon.

ABC 15 reports that the victim was struck while walking across the intersection at Indian School Road and 35th Avenue at about 12:30 p.m. Wednesday. The vehicle left the scene without stopping. Police have not released any details about the vehicle or its driver.

Emergency responders rushed the man to an area hospital in critical condition.

Indian School Rd. was closed between 31st and 33rd Avenues for some time following the collision, which remains under investigation.
