Man Hit, Killed By Pickup Truck While Crossing Road

TUCSON, AZ ”“ A young man died on Saturday morning when he was hit by a pickup truck while crossing a roadway in south Tucson.

According to the Arizona Daily Star, 20-year-old Thomas James West was hit by a 1995 Ford F-150 while he was crossing Valencia Road near South 12th Street at about 8 a.m.

West was rushed to Banner University Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries a short time later.

Police say West was crossing mid-block when he was struck. No charges have been filed against the driver of the pickup at this time.
