Man Dies in Tucson After Crashing a Stolen Car

up close side view of police patrol carTUCSON, AZ – A man was killed in a collision involving a stolen vehicle in southeast Tucson Saturday morning.

According to KGUN 9, 31-year-old George Walter Dubose was driving a 2004 Kia Amanti that had previously been reported as stolen. Dubose crashed the Kia shortly after 10 a.m. while traveling north at high speed near the intersection of Kolb Road and Valencia Road.

Police say the Kia struck a median, ejecting Dubose, who was not wearing a seatbelt, before continuing northbound and careening into a drainage ditch. Dubose was pronounced dead of his injuries at the scene.

The crash reportedly did not cause any other injuries.
