Six People Injured in Head-On Collision in Yuma

YUMA, AZ – A head-on collision in Yuma sent six people to the hospital on Monday night.
According to KYMA, the accident took place within the intersection of East 40th Street and Chaparral Drive.
Responding officers say a westbound Chevrolet Silverado crossed the center divider and collided head-on with a 2012 GMC truck.
The driver of the Chevrolet was rushed to the hospital with serious, potentially life-threatening injuries. All five occupants of the GMC were also hospitalized in serious condition. One victim was later airlifted to a Phoenix hospital.
Investigators are working to determine the cause of the crash.
