Fiery Crash Sends Two to Hospital in Phoenix

PHOENIX, AZ – Two people were rushed to the hospital and four others were treated at the scene following a fiery collision in Phoenix early Monday morning.

According to CBS 5, two pickup trucks collided shortly after 4:30 a.m. near the intersection of 44th Street and Greenway Road.

Police say one of the vehicles burst into flames following the crash, pinning a 25-year-old male passenger inside. Emergency responders extricated him and rushed him to the hospital in critical condition.

The vehicle’s driver was also hospitalized and is stable.

Four occupants in the second vehicle refused medical transport and were treated for their injuries at the scene.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
