Pedestrian Struck, Killed By Vehicle Near 59th and W. Palm Lane

image of urban pedestrian crossing area late afternoonPHOENIX, AZ – A woman was killed Saturday afternoon when she was hit by a vehicle in west Phoenix, 3TV/CBS5 reports.

Officers responded to the scene at about 3 p.m. near 59th Avenue and W. Palm Lane and found 42-year-old Jeannie Garza Montoya lying in the roadway. She was pronounced dead a short time later.

The vehicle involved in the fatal crash was found abandoned nearby. The driver has not been identified or located at this time.
