Two Killed, Two Hurt After Multi-Vehicle Crash in Buckeye

firefighters respond to fiery three-vehicle crashBUCKEYE, AZ – Two people were killed and two others were taken to area hospitals after a fiery wreck in Buckeye late Sunday night.

According to Buckeye Police, officers arrived at the intersection of Verrado Way and Van Buren Street at about 10:30 p.m.

Three vehicles were involved in the crash, one of which was engulfed in flames. First responders were able to free a woman who was pinned inside her vehicle. She was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

The male driver of the second vehicle was also sent to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Tragically, firefighters were unable to extinguish the flames of the burning vehicle in time, and its two occupants died at the scene.

The cause of the crash remains unclear at this time. The identities of those involved are being withheld pending further investigation.
